How To Get Started In The Artist Alley
At Anime Los Angeles 2012 a few weeks ago, I was invited to be a part of a panel hosted by Jessica Gaona, discussing tips and trick on getting started and surviving the artist alley at anime cons. The room was surprisingly packed, and someone in the audience was kind enough to videotape the entire panel and upload it to youtube.
So I thought I’d share this with you guys, considering how much interest my last post on artist alley stuff generated.
Just at the top of my head, we talked about things like surveying for market price, ideas for booth setups, how many copies to print first time, what price to sell at, etc. If you guys have an interest in selling at the artist alley in any convention, this is probably worth watching. (You will also get to see how awkward I am)
Also, if you want to see me get bullied by the lovely ladies of Scuttlebutt (authors of the awesome magical boy comic Shounen Fight), it happened during the first three minutes of the video, and sorta lasted throughout the panel.
